Edit vCenter Virtual Server

You can edit CPU and RAM resources for vCenter virtual servers built on Windows and Linux templates, as well as Windows and Linux OVA templates.

To edit a vCenter virtual server:

  1. Go to your Control Panel > Cloud > Virtual Servers menu.

  2. Click the label of the server you want to resize to display its details screen.

  3. Click the Actions button, point to Options, and select Edit Virtual Server.

  4. On the page that appears, you can edit the following parameters:

    • Label - change the name of the vCenter virtual server label
    • Virtual CPU hot add - select the checkbox to allow the addition of vCPUs to the VS
    • Memory hot add - select the checkbox to allow the addition of memory resources to the VS
    • RAM - move the slider to change the RAM size
    • CPU(s) - move the slider to change the number of CPU(s)
    • CPU Priority - move the slider to change CPU priority
    • Cores per socket - change the number of cores per socket for the VS
You must have the Allow user to set CPU topology permission assigned to edit Cores per socket.
  1. Click the Save button.

After you save the settings, the resize is completed automatically, and you can see a message indicating the resize was successful.
