Configuring CloudBlue Commerce

To make a product available to an end user, ensure the following steps are completed:

1. The vendor versions a product in the CloudBlue Connect vendor portal.

2. The vendor submits a request to include the versioned product in a distributor’s product list.

3. The distributor accepts the product in the CloudBlue Connect distributor portal.

4. The distributor adds the product to an end user’s marketplace.

Versioning product

1. In the CloudBlue Connect vendor portal, go to the Products page and select your product.

2. Go to the Versions tab and click Fork master in the upper-right corner.

3. In Fork master into the new version, specify a description and choose Public as visibility mode. Click Fork.

Listing versioned product

1. In the CloudBlue Connect vendor portal, go to the Listings page and click Manage Listings in the upper-right corner.

2. In Create Listing - Step - 1 Introduction, read general information about a product listing and click Next.

3. In Create Listing - Step - 2 Product, select the desired product and click Next.

4. In Create Listing - Step - 3 Distributor, select a distributor and click Next.

5. In Create Listing - Step - 4 Marketplace, select a marketplace and click Next.

6. Create Listing - Step - 5 Action is skipped by default. This step is available when a product is listed.

7. In Create Listing - Step - 6 Price List, No price list is selected by default. Click Next.

8. In Create Listing - Step - 7 Offer, No offer is selected by default. Click Next.

9. In Create Listing - Submit, click Submit.

10. In Create Listing - Summary, view the details and status of the request. Click Go to details to view all the details and status of your listing. Otherwise, click Close.

After that, the product will appear on the distributor’s side.

Accepting product by distributor

1. In the CloudBlue Connect distributor portal, click Listings.

2. Go to the Requests tab and select a product in the reviewing status.

3. Click Mark as deploying in the upper-right corner, and then click Mark as completed.

Once accepted, the product is added to the list of applications in the CloudBlue Commerce portal.

Adding product to end user’s marketplace

After accepting a product in the CloudBlue Connect distributor portal, the distributor must complete the following steps to make it available to an end user:

1. Create a persistent connection via CloudBlue Connection Extension between the CloudBlue Connect and CloudBlue Commerce portals for synchronizing product information.

2. Create a service plan, which is an offer including prices, terms, etc., applicable to an end user.

3. Set resource rates applicable to the product to view the number and quantity of system resources used by an end user.

4. Publish the product to an end user, for example, the selected user categories.

Creating connection

1. In the CloudBlue Commerce portal, select System > Connect in the Operations menu.

2. Click Manage next to the desired product.

3. Click Create connection.

4. Click Install to start importing the product and creating service templates.

In the Operations menu, select Products > Service Templates to view automatically created service templates. A service template is a template of an offer made to an end user.

Create a service plan based on the service templates as instructed below.

1. In the CloudBlue Commerce portal, select Products > Service Plans in the Billing menu.

2. Click Add New Service Plan.

3. Choose Generic Service Plan as a service plan type and click Next.

4. Complete all the steps specified in the wizard.

Setting resource rates

1. In the CloudBlue Commerce portal, select Products > Service Plans in the Billing menu.

2. Select the desired service plan.

3. Go to the Resource Rates tab and click Add New Resource Rate.

4. In the MPN drop-down list, select the desired resource items.

After adding the resource rate, you will have the following list:

Publishing product

1. Go to your CloudBlue Commerce portal.

2. In the Billing menu, select Products > Service Plans.

3. Select the desired service plan.

4. Go to the Publication Settings tab and choose the categories to which you want to publish the product.

Once published, the product will appear on an end user’s marketplace.
