Virtuozzo OnApp 3.3.0-19 Storage Update

This is an update for CloudBoot Hypervisor and CloudBoot Backup server.

Type

Release Notes

Feature

Storage moved from groupmon to ISD. This helps to achieve the following:

  • the idle/background CPU load of ISD as measured from outside the VS never exceeds 5% for a deployment of 100 storage drives.

  • the memory size of the ISD process within the storagenode VS never exceeds 30MB.

  • these scalability requirements apply to both multicast and unicast modes of operation

Feature

Added support for Storage Node Controllers to be pinned to NUMA sets: when starting up the storage controllers a check is made against the configuration file to see which CPUs it should be pinned to.

Feature

Added getVDiskColocation API call to aid re-balance.

Feature

Added possibility to set the amount of NUMA nodes in storage configuration file. If none set, the default value is 0.

Feature

Allowed custom cloud boot drivers to be added (beta version).

Improvement

Improved connection diagnostics to fix the situations where the VS may become disconnected from the storage layer - and is in effectively a broken state.

Improvement

Improved clearing the transactions for all members of the given VDisk including all front ends that may have a stale transaction for the vdisk.

Improvement

Blocked the possibility to forget single replica of VDisk.

Improvement

Updated IGB driver to 5.1.2 for CloudBoot.

Improvement

Improved disk hot plug support on both Xen and KVM.

Fix

Fixed the problem when snapshot parameter snaptime reports always the same incorrect time.

Fix

Fix

Fix
