Virtuozzo OnApp 6.0 Patch 11 (6.0.0-290)

This is an update for the Control Panel server and Static compute resources. This document provides information on fixes implemented as a part of the 6.0.0-290 update, as well as the upgrade instructions for:

The upgrade instructions for CloudBoot are available at Virtuozzo OnApp 6.0 Patch 7 CloudBoot Update (6.0.0-290).

Fixes

The following issues were fixed in the scope of the 6.0.0-290 update.

CORE-16994	If you disabled the Show Compute resources on Virtual Server creation permission, all networks in the cloud were displayed at the Resources step in VS Creation wizard instead of the networks added to the selected compute zone.	6.0 Patch 10
CORE-17072	If you set the default rate for network interface in the info_hub.local.yml file, the changes weren't applied at the Resource step in the VS Creation wizard.	6.0 Patch 10
CORE-17128	If you enabled automated backup at the Confirmation step of VS Creation wizard, the auto-backup ran and failed before the VS was built.	6.0
INSTALLER-495	If you updated libvirt and KVM versions from 1.5.x to EV on CentOS7 KVM compute resources with powered on VSs, the VSs were powered off after the update.	6.0

Patch Installation

The instructions below are relevant if you already run Virtuozzo OnApp 6.0.

Upgrade Control Panel Server

To apply the patch to a Control Panel server based on Virtuozzo OnApp 6.0:

Upgrade the Virtuozzo OnApp Control Panel installer package:

# yum update onapp-cp-install

Run the Control Panel installer:

# /onapp/onapp-cp-install/onapp-cp-install.sh --quick-update='monit rabbitmq'

Start Virtuozzo OnApp related services (like onapp, onapp-licensing, httpd) if ‘—quick-update’ option was used for the installer.

Upgrade Static Compute Resources

Make sure your compute resource is visible and online on the Control Panel. Then you can proceed to the following procedure and run the steps, depending on a version from which you upgrade.

If you upgrade from Virtuozzo OnApp = 6.0.0-283, do the following:
1. Update Hypervisor Tools (CentOS7 KVM only):|

  # yum update onapp-hv-tools-kvm
If you upgrade from Virtuozzo OnApp = 6.0.0-275, do the following:
1. Upgrade the Virtuozzo OnApp compute resource installer package:

  # yum update onapp-hv-install
2. Update Hypervisor Tools (CentOS7 KVM only):
  1
  # yum update onapp-hv-tools-kvm
If you upgrade from Virtuozzo OnApp = 6.0.0-238, run the following steps (1-2).
1. Upgrade the Virtuozzo OnApp compute resource installer package:

  # yum update onapp-hv-install
2. Update Hypervisor Tools (CentOS7 KVM only):

  # yum update onapp-hv-tools-kvm
3. Initiate recovery images/iso download by running installer with -t option with the following command:
  - For KVM compute resources
    1
    # /onapp/onapp-hv-install/onapp-hv-kvm-install.sh -t
  - For Xen compute resources:
    1
    # /onapp/onapp-hv-install/onapp-hv-xen-install.sh -t
If you upgrade from Virtuozzo OnApp =< 6.0.0-62, run the following steps (1-3).
1. If you have CentOS 7 Xen resources, remove the centos-release-xen-46 package:

  # rpm -e centos-release-xen-46
2. Upgrade the Virtuozzo OnApp compute resource installer package:

  # yum update onapp-hv-install
3. Run Static compute resource installer:
  - For KVM compute resources
    1
    # /onapp/onapp-hv-install/onapp-hv-kvm-install.sh
  - For Xen compute resources
    1
    # /onapp/onapp-hv-install/onapp-hv-xen-install.sh
    Please confirm the download of Recovery Templates and other ISOs/images when you are prompted.

Upgrade Static Backup Server

If you upgrade from Virtuozzo OnApp = 6.0.0-238 or Virtuozzo OnApp = 6.0.0-275, skip the upgrade static backup procedure.
If you upgrade from Virtuozzo OnApp =< 6.0.0-62, follow the next procedure to upgrade static backup server.
1. Upgrade the Virtuozzo OnApp backup server installer package:

  # yum update onapp-bk-install
2. Update tar on CentOS 6 backup servers:
  1
  # yum update tar
3. Run the installer:
  1
  # sh /onapp/onapp-bk-install/onapp-bk-install.sh
