Virtuozzo OnApp 6.0 Patch 10 (6.0.0-283)

This is an update for the Control Panel server and Static compute resources. This document provides information on fixes implemented as a part of the 6.0.0-283 update, as well as the upgrade instructions for:

Fixes

The following issues were fixed in the scope of the 6.0.0-283 update.

CORE-16618	If you sorted nodes using the By compute resource filter while editing 4s2r or 2r2s IS data store and saved the edits at the Edit Data Store page, the data store was not updated.	6.0
CORE-16622	It was not possible to disable the Acceleration allowed option on a smart server.	6.2

CORE-16780	If you created a VS without selecting a specific data store in the VS creation wizard, all VS disks were created in the data store with the smallest size and available space.	6.0 Patch 9
CORE-16785	Sometimes, if you selected a template on the first step of Create VS wizard, proceeded to the following steps, and then got back to the first step to select another template, the template’s specifications were not updated without a page refresh in the VS creation wizard.	6.0 Patch 9
CORE-16806	When you tried to create a new user and used the “<” or “>” symbols when setting a password, the error message appeared in the user creation wizard.	6.0
INSTALLER-481	When you tried to log in to Virtuozzo OnApp under the admin account protected with Yubikey, you got the following error: "Service is temporarily unavailable and Invalid Yubikey."	5.5-6.0 Patch 9
INSTALLER-485	There was no possibility of binding the proper interface to configuration script of Redis server installation process.	5.5-6.0 Patch 9
INSTALLER-487	The tgtd daemon failed to start during static compute resource install or update if its IP Address from Backup Servers' network was not specified.	5.5-6.0 Patch 9

Patch Installation

The instructions below are relevant if you already run Virtuozzo OnApp 6.0.

Upgrade Control Panel Server

To apply the patch to a Control Panel server based on Virtuozzo OnApp 6.0:

Upgrade the Virtuozzo OnApp Control Panel installer package:

# yum update onapp-cp-install

Run the Control Panel installer:

# /onapp/onapp-cp-install/onapp-cp-install.sh --quick-update='monit rabbitmq'

Start Virtuozzo OnApp related services (like onapp, onapp-licensing, httpd) if ‘—quick-update’ option was used for the installer.

Upgrade Static Compute Resources

Make sure your compute resource is visible and online on the Control Panel. Then you can proceed to the following procedure and run the steps, depending on a version from which you upgrade.

If you upgrade from Virtuozzo OnApp = 6.0.0-275, do the following:
Upgrade the Virtuozzo OnApp compute resource installer package:

# yum update onapp-hv-install
If you upgrade from Virtuozzo OnApp = 6.0.0-238, run the following steps (1-2).
1. Upgrade the Virtuozzo OnApp compute resource installer package:

  # yum update onapp-hv-install
2. Initiate recovery images/iso download by running installer with -t option with the following comand:
  - For KVM compute resources
    1
    # /onapp/onapp-hv-install/onapp-hv-kvm-install.sh -t
  - For Xen compute resources:
    1
    # /onapp/onapp-hv-install/onapp-hv-xen-install.sh -t
If you upgrade from Virtuozzo OnApp =< 6.0.0-62, run the following steps (1-3).
1. If you have CentOS 7 Xen resources, remove the centos-release-xen-46 package:

  # rpm -e centos-release-xen-46
2. Upgrade the Virtuozzo OnApp compute resource installer package:

  # yum update onapp-hv-install
3. Run Static compute resource installer:
  - For KVM compute resources
    1
    # /onapp/onapp-hv-install/onapp-hv-kvm-install.sh
  - For Xen compute resources
    1
    # /onapp/onapp-hv-install/onapp-hv-xen-install.sh
  Please confirm the download of Recovery Templates and other ISOs/images when you are prompted.

Upgrade Static Backup Server

If you upgrade from Virtuozzo OnApp = 6.0.0-238 or Virtuozzo OnApp = 6.0.0-275, skip the upgrade static backup procedure.
If you upgrade from Virtuozzo OnApp =< 6.0.0-62, follow the next procedure to upgrade static backup server.
1. Upgrade the Virtuozzo OnApp backup server installer package:

  # yum update onapp-bk-install
2. Update tar on CentOS 6 backup servers:
  1
  # yum update tar
3. Run the installer:

  # sh /onapp/onapp-bk-install/onapp-bk-install.sh
