Viewing Management Server Live User Sessions

On the Management Node pane, you can view the detailed information on all the current user sessions on the Virtuozzo Automator Management Servers. The user session is a set of parameters that is created when a user logs in to Virtuozzo Automator and is closed when a user logs off.

The Live User Sessions table displays the information on the current user sessions as follows:

LoginThe name of the user session. Click the name to switch to the user session properties page.
Authentication Database

The source where the user information is taken from. It may be an external or local database.

These databases are used to authenticate the users trying to log in to their physical servers through Virtuozzo Automator.

The number of available authentication databases may vary, but two databases are always present: Virtuozzo Internal and System. The users in the Virtuozzo Internal database are those that you create in Virtuozzo Automator specifically for Virtuozzo virtual environment management. On a fresh Virtuozzo virtual environment installation, this database is empty. The users in the System database are the regular system users of the Master Server of the Server Group.

EmailThe email the user specified for feedback connection.
IP addressThe IP address of the computer the user started the live session.
Logon TimeThe date and time when the user started the live session.
Expiration timeThe date and time when the session will be terminated if the user keeps idle.

To show or hide columns, click Select Columns and set or clear the respective checkboxes.

You can also filter the user sessions shown in the Live User Sessions table. To do that, click Show Search, enter search patterns in the search fields, and click Search. To change what search fields are displayed, click Customize. Click Reset Results to view all the current user sessions.

If you need to terminate a session or several sessions, choose them and click the Close Sessions button above the table.

Viewing Power Panel Live User Sessions

Virtuozzo Power Panel is only supported for Virtuozzo 6 servers.

On the Power Panel pane, you can view the detailed information on all user sessions currently running in Virtuozzo Power Panel. The user session is a set of parameters that is created when a user logs in to Virtuozzo Power Panel and is closed when a user logs off.

The Live User Sessions table displays the information on the current user sessions as follows:

UserThe name of the user session. Click the name to switch to the user session properties page.
User IP AddressThe IP address of the computer from which the user started the live session.
Hardware NodeThe name of the physical server the virtual environment belongs to.
Virtual EnvironmentThe name of the virtual environment the user is working with.
Logon TimeThe date and time when the user started the live session.
Expiration timeThe date and time when the session will be terminated if the user does not perform any actions on the virtual environment.

To show or hide columns, click Select Columns and set or clear the respective checkboxes.

You can also filter the user sessions shown in the Live User Sessions table. To do that, click Show Search, enter search patterns in the search fields, and click Search. To change what search fields are displayed, click Customize. Click Reset Results to view all the current user sessions.

Viewing Audit Logs

On the Audit Log pane, you can view the detailed information on the Management Server user sessions.

The table displays the information on user sessions as follows:

TimeThe number and kind of user sessions at the present time.
UserThe name of the user who started this session.
IP addressThe IP address of the computer on which the user started the live session, i.e. the computer where the user opened the Virtuozzo Automator client.
EventThe user activity status.

You can also filter the user sessions shown in the table. To do that, click Show Search, enter search patterns in the search fields, and click Search. To change what search fields are displayed, click Customize. Click Reset Results to view all the current user sessions.

The Event column reflects the change of the user session status and can show one of five states:

State NameDescription
Login SuccessfulThe user has logged in successfully.
Failed LoginThe login operation failed.
LogoffThe user has logged off successfully.
Session ExpiredThe user session has been stopped because the user kept idle for a certain period of time.
Session TerminatedThe user session has been stopped by the administrator or because of the agent restart.

Viewing User Session Properties

The User Session page allows you to see the detailed information on the chosen live user session.

The table provides the following information:

LoginThe name of the user session. Click the name to switch to the user properties page where you can manage the details of this user.

The Tasks field comprises the Close Session link. By clicking this link you will terminate the current session.

The Session Tasks Log subsection comprises the list of all tasks prescribed to this user.
