Using A Proxy Server to Install Updates

If your server cannot access the Internet directly, you can update Virtuozzo Server via a proxy server. To do that, specify the proxy server information in the /etc/yum.conf file as follows:

proxy=http://<hostname_or_IP_address>:<port>
proxy_username=<username>
proxy_password=<password>

After configuring yum to use the proxy server, proceed to installing updates as usual.
