Virtuozzo ReadyKernel patch 135.0 for Virtuozzo Server 7.5

1. Overview

The cumulative Virtuozzo ReadyKernel patch was updated with a stability fix. The patch applies to the kernels 3.10.0-1160.21.1.vz7.174.13 (Virtuozzo Server 7.5 Update 1), 3.10.0-1160.41.1.vz7.183.5 (Virtuozzo Server 7.5 Update 2).

2. Bug Fixes

  • [3.10.0-1160.21.1.vz7.174.13 to 3.10.0-1160.41.1.vz7.183.5] Virtual machines might fail to start on a host with AMD Milan CPU. It was discovered that virtual machines on the hosts with AMD Milan CPUs could try to set IA32_SPEC_CTRL MSR during their startup and would fail to start: qemu-kvm would be killed by SIGABRT. (PSBM-131551)

3. Installing the Update

Download, install, and immediately apply the patch to the current kernel by running ‘readykernel update’.
