2. New Features

  • Now, the default EFI flash size in virtual machines is 4 MB for newly created virtual machines. (PSBM-144916)
  • Virtual machines with EFI are automatically converted to a 4-MB flash size. (PSBM-144916)
  • Updated Windows guest drivers. (PSBM-146201)
  • Updated Virtuozzo Storage packages to the latest version. (PSBM-146257)
  • Improvements in CRIU—a major version update to criu-3.18. (PSBM-147172)

3. Bug Fixes

  • Live migration of Windows 2008 Server R2 virtual machines between Virtuozzo Server 7.5 Update 4 nodes could fail. (PSBM-148279)
  • Improved behavior for the ‘prlctl move’ command when moving data between datastores in Virtuozzo Storage. (PSBM-147476)
  • A container backup could fail when the ‘VZ_TOOLS_IOLIMIT’ parameter in ‘/etc/vz/vz.conf’ was uncommented. (PSBM-147036)
  • After updating a node to Virtuozzo Server 7.5 Update 4, the dispatcher service could fail to start. (PSBM-146558)

  • Failure to sync containers’ statuses between the dispatcher and virsh. (PSBM-141633)
  • Under specific circumstances, a host could get a per-CPU memory leakage. (PSBM-141114, PSBM-145276, PSBM-145270)
  • Other fixes. (PSBM-148636, PSBM-148420, PSBM-148346, PSBM-148336, PSBM-148283, PSBM-148052, PSBM-147601, PSBM-147193, PSBM-146883, PSBM-146842, PSBM-145018)

4. Known Issues and Limitations

  • The migration of EFI virtual machines to the previous versions of Virtuozzo Server (Virtuozzo Server 7.5 Update 4 and earlier) is not allowed due to the EFI flash size change.
  • Due to the EFI flash size change, backups of EFI virtual machines created on a Virtuozzo Server 7.5 Update 5 host work improperly if restored in the previous versions of Virtuozzo Server (Virtuozzo Server 7.5 Update 4 and earlier).
  • EFI virtual machines running the Ubuntu and Debian guest OSs, with heavily modified EFI settings, may require a manual boot recovery after the EFI flash size change.
  • Starting from Virtuozzo Server 7.5 Update 5, the fast path option cannot be turned off. The ‘fuse_kio_pcs’ fast path module is now a prerequisite for the ‘vstorage-mount’ service and cannot be unloaded on the nodes where Virtuozzo Storage is mounted. (PSBM-146257)
  • Experimental support of the Almalinux 9.2 guest operating system in virtual machines.
  • Acronis Notary cannot get the certificate. (PSBM-148315)

5. Installing the Update
